We really like this Park. Alice's Restaurant is no longer there, but the pizza from the place across the street is excellent. A lot of places close the first of September. There are very nice paths up into the woods. You're only 7 miles from Yellowstone's West entrance.
We weren't happy here. I wouldn't call it a RV Park, maybe a parking lot for RVs. There are ten RV sites in a gravel lot. No tables, fire rings, restrooms, laundry or much else. There are suppose to be five 50amp and five 30amp sites. The owner seemed to be put out by any question. We stayed here for a month but I wouldn't recommend staying here for any longer than a night or two at the most.
We like this place. You do need to be aware of the high winds coming off the prairie, they caught us off guard and we lost a TV dish we had on a tripod. No place to ride our bikes. All roads and pads were gravel. We did have one of our level pads sink down about six inches.
We stayed here a month so our rate was $300 for the month plus electric. It is about 30 minutes from Summerville and 40 minutes from Charleston. We had a very pleasant stay here and the people were great. They have a gathering Friday nights at the office and everyone is invited. Becky Horne the owner is a lovely lady. It is a well maintained park but it is a little out of the way if you are staying there a while. All in all we had a very pleasant time.
